On the 8th of June 2011, this year’s PrOUt Phd Day will take place! During this day, you can enjoy workshops, lectures, information stands, drinks, food, and more. All this is free of charge, but lunch and barbecue tickets are limited, so please register in advance. N.B. On the promotional material we asked you to register for the workshops, this is no longer necessary.
The PhD Day offers you the possibility to learn more about writing articles, labour conditions, printing your thesis, your carreer after obtaining your PhD, poster and thesis design, etc. Moreover, it is a great way to meet PhDs just like you, from other faculties as well. As a keynote speaker, we invited historian and USA expert Maarten van Rossem to give a lecture. Maarten van Rossem is featured on TV regularly on USA related topics in programs such as Pauw en Witteman.
This day is open for all PhD candidates from Utrecht. The event will take place at the Uithof (Ruppert building), starting with a free lunch from around 12.00h, and lasts until approximately 17.30h. Afterwards, there will be a free barbecue at Olympos.
